Built in 1834 as a Primitive 
Methodist Chapel.

When "Methodist church" was
formed in 1932 with the
Primitives combining with the
United Methodist church this
building was no longer required.

It became an ambulance station
in use until the present
ambulance station was built in
1965.
During the Second World War
the Air Raid siren was situated
here.
After 1965 it became North
Riding County Council building
maintenance office.
